Kit Fisto in Battle of Geonosis

Celebrating international "May the 4th" day, and all the excitement of The Force Awakens teasers, I needed to make an illustrated tribute to my favorite character of Star Wars universe, Master Kit Fisto.

For those who don't know him, I forgive you. He's the cool Jedi that smiles in Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones after using the Force to C3PO in the Battle of Geonosis.

I mean seriously... he's the most badass Jedi ever.

If you were a Cartoon Network fan born in the 90's you've probably saw him also in Clone Wars the animated series.

And if that wasn't enough already, also confronts Darth Sidious in Episode III: Revenge Of The Sith. Remember him now?

Ok, now that you're familiar with this Nautolan, this was the process of illustrating him, starting from pencil sketches...

...to digital.

I wanted to make an original style to the whole illustration. Making a different outfit for him compared to previous appearances. Working to feel the illustration as real as possible. Generating textures for the clothes, the skin, the sand... The appropiate lighting and projection of shadows. Pushing the boundaries each time.
